Deepika Integrated Special School, was started as a Christian school in 1993 to cater to the needs of the children in Siddapura slum, one of the largest and oldest in Bangalore, India.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES:
The main objectives of the school are to
provide pre-school childcare for poor families;
encourage and promote educational growth
among the children, reduce vaccine
preventable childhood diseases; reduce
malnutrition among the under five year old
children; organize rehabilitation services for
the mentally challenged children; and to
introduce appropriate economic livelihood
opportunities to single mothers and others in
need.
What we do
MISSION
To ensure poor children in the slum area have access to education, health care and development by providing quality education, health care facilities, nutrition and protection to the children in the age group of 0-18 years.
